This announcement comes just weeks after a federal judge ordered the FDA to look into the health effects of e-cigarettes. The judge specifically declared that the FDA acted illegally by allowing the sale of e-cigarettes without the registration of the vendors and the products being tested with the FDA. With e-cigarettes and vaping becoming an increasingly popular phenomena among youth, this is an important step to ensuring the public’s safety.
What is the Current Marketing Strategy for E-Cigarettes?
Previously, e-cigarette vendors were allowed to market as they wish without being required to register with the FDA and comply with FDA regulations. Now, the FDA is taking an active step by providing e-cigarette sellers a new marketing strategy to ensure their product is in compliance with FDA regulations. This marketing strategy also includes testing of e-cigarette products, as well as, increased observation of product labels, designs, and warnings.
Why are E-Cigarettes Considered Dangerous?

First, the lack of health information regarding long-term health effects from smoking e-cigarettes.
