Low Testosterone Therapy OintmentsTestosterone replacement therapy is used to increase levels of testosterone in men. The treatment comes in the form of pills, patches, injections or topical medicated gels applied directly to the arm, underarm, abdomen or inner thigh. Pharmaceutical companies have spent billions on creating and advertising this type of treatment as a way of increasing energy level, sex drive and strength. However, thousands of men are now filing testosterone lawsuits after experiencing harmful side effects.

What Are The Common Testosterone Therapy Drugs?

The following are a few testosterone drugs that are commonly used for testosterone therapy:

  • AndroGel
  • Fortesta
  • Axiron
  • Testim

  • Delatestryl
  • Striant
  • Androderm
  • Testopel

It is important to note that the above are examples of testosterone medications. The extent of negative side effects regarding testosterone drugs have not been fully determined yet. However, men are alleging that they have experienced harmful side effects such as heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism and prostate cancer after using testosterone therapy drugs.

What Are People Doing About It?

Low Testosterone Therapy LawsuitsCurrently, the number of testosterone lawsuits have dramatically increased into the thousands. As of October 15, 2015, there are 2,708 testosterone lawsuits pending in the U.S. court system. Many users of testosterone drugs allege that they have been harmed and are taking action by filing a lawsuit. For example, two New York residents, a husband and wife team, have recently joined in on the filing of testosterone lawsuits. They allege that the use of AndroGel caused several strokes. The husband was prescribed AndroGel in 2012 and suffered two strokes while using the medication. A lawyer filed their lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on August 13, 2015. The judge has already reviewed their case and it is progressing.

Other men are coming forward claiming that they never had a heart condition until using testosterone medication but now are experiencing side effects and cannot work. In addition to the harmful side effects, plaintiffs are claiming that the manufactures of the testosterone products marketed the drugs in misleading ways by advertising their product for anyone experiencing the symptoms of low testosterone when they knew testosterone levels naturally decrease as men get older. In other cases, low testosterone levels were never even verified and men were given the testosterone medication based on the symptoms outlined by the manufacturer. It is expected that many others experiencing harmful side effects from testosterone treatment may file a lawsuit and it is not too late for you to file if you have been harmed.
