Each week we compile a summary of recalls, FDA warnings, market withdrawals and safety alerts that the public should be aware of for their safety and so that they can make informed decisions.

Medical Devices & Equipment:

• Viatrexx Bio Incorporated Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Sterile Injectables Due to a Lack of Sterility Assurance.

Pharmaceuticals/Drugs:

Recalled Zantac
• Sanofi recalls popular heartburn drug Zantac as FDA investigates probable carcinogen.

Auto:

Recalled Subaru
• Subaru of America is recalling 366,282 model year 2015-2018 Foresters with heated seats. An electrical connection in the front passenger seat for the Occupant Detection System (ODS) may loosen.


• Automobili Lamborghini is recalling 441 model year 2017-2019 Aventador S Coupès and Aventador S Roadsters. The engine management software may allow the engine to stall when the vehicle is coasting to a stop, increasing the risk of a crash.


• Jaguar recalls model year 2019-2020 F-Type vehicles. The tire placard label states an incorrect size for the rear tires.


Recalled Lamborghini
• Daimler Vans USA (DVUSA) is recalling 19 model year 2018-2019 Sprinter and Metris vehicles. The vehicles left the reassembly plant without the final quality inspection of safety-relevant parts or bolt connections, resulting in possible unknown safety risks.


• Ford has issued a recall for roughly 20,000 of its 2019 Rangers. Ford says the design of the truck’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) blower motor could possibly cause an electrical short.


• Subaru is recalling Foresters from model years 2015-18 because the front passenger airbag may not go off when it should during a crash.

Motorcycle/Scooters:

Recalled Honda Motorcycle
• American Honda Motor Co. is recalling model year 2019 CRF450L motorcycles. The horn mount may break, allowing the horn to detach from the motorcycle.


• BRP is recalling certain 2019-20 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The wheel nuts may crack, causing the wheels to loosen.

Utility/Recreational Vehicles & Automotive Accessories:

Recalled Recreational Vehicle
• Jayco is recalling 97 model year 2019-2020 Jay Feather X19H travel trailers. The handles for the emergency exit windows may not allow the windows to open sufficiently for them to be used as an emergency exit.


• Jayco is recalling 637 model year 2019 Eagle HT and Eagle recreational trailers whose gas range does not vent outside. If propane gas continues to flow and is not properly vented, there is an increased risk of a fire.


• Jayco recalls model year 2019-2020 Redhawk SE motorhomes. The seatbelt-unfastened warning light malfunctions.


• Pleasure Way recalls Plateau, Plateau XL, Ascent and Lexor motorhomes. The awning may extend unexpectedly without input from the user.


• Daimler Vans USA (DVUSA) is recalling 1,232 model year 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter vehicles. The airbag systems may not have been activated after vehicle production, which can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Food, Beverage & Nutritional Supplements:

Recalled Bread Rolls
• Whole Foods recalls White Parkerhouse Rolls. The product may contain milk and egg, allergens not declared on the label.


• Whole Foods Market brand beef products are the subject of the 14th E. coli related recall of such products. Several have specifically named Ryding-Regency Meat Packers Ltd. as a source of the implicated beef.


• Fisherman’s Pride Processors of Vernon, Calif., is recalling 100 bags of Schwan’s brand Garlic Herb Shrimp. The product contains soy and milk, allergens not declared on the label.


• California New Foods expands recall of frozen cookie dough products. The products may contain peanuts and walnuts, allergens no declared on the label.


• T & R Enterprise USA Inc. has recalled approximately 118,000 pounds of meat and poultry egg roll products that were produced and packed under insanitary conditions.


Recalled All-purpose Flour
• J. M. Smucker recalls Robin Hood All Purpose Flour. The product may be contaminated with E. coli.


• George’s Prepared Foods has recalled approximately 6,444 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) pork sausage patty and turkey sausage patty products that may be contaminated with Salmonella, according to the U.S.


• Pride of Florida Recalls Beef Products due to Possible E. Coli O157:H7 Contamination.


• MawMaw’s Chicken Pies Recalls Chicken and Meat Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens.


• Global Zakii Enterprises, LLC Recalls Canned Meat and Canned Poultry Products Produced without Benefit of Import Inspection.


Recalled Beef
• Kenosha Beef International Recalls Seasoned Beef Products due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination.


• Mannarich Foods Inc. is recalling four varieties of fishballs from the marketplace because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum.


• UNFI recalls Arla Apetina Marinated Feta & Olives in Oil. The products may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.


• Premium Foods USA recalls Siluriformes fish products. The products were not re-inspected for import into the U.S.


• Samurai, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Fish in Furikake Popcorn 5oz. Package.


Recalled Tuna
• Mical Seafood Inc. Voluntarily Expands Tuna Recall for Possible Scombroid Poisoning.


• Peekay International Inc. Issues Alert on Undeclared Sulfites in “KESHAV Dry Apricot”.

Household Products:

• Carrier- and Bryant-branded heat pumps recalled. The fan motor can fail, causing the units to overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Miscellaneous:

Recalled Baby Powder
• Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. to Voluntarily Recall a Single Lot of Johnson’s Baby Powder in the United States.


• Soft Play Recalls Spider Climb Playground Climbers Due to Fall Hazard. The climbing level platforms were designed too far apart, posing a fall hazard to children who can fall climbing from one level to the next.
