Pharmaceuticals/Drugs:
- FDA requests recall of sterile compounded drug products produced by Pacifico National Inc., dba AmEx Pharmacy, reminds patients and health care professionals to stop using due to potential risks.
- Hepatitis C Medicines Mavyret, Zepatier, and Vosevi: Drug Safety Communication – Due to Rare Occurrence of Serious Liver Injury in Some Patients with Advanced Liver Disease.
- Sandoz Recalls Losartan Potassium and Ezetimibe Prescription Drug Bottles Due to Failure to Meet Child-Resistant Closure Requirements. The prescription drug packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, posing a poisoning risk if swallowed by children.
- E-Cigarette Products: Safety Communication – Due to the Incidents of Severe Respiratory Disease Associated with Use of an E-Cigarette Product.
Auto:
- Kia Motors America is recalling 30,168 model year 2020 Tellurides. The seat belt assemblies in the front passenger, second, and/or third row seats may not tightly secure a child restraint system in the event of a crash. If a child seat is not properly secured, there is an increased risk of injury in a crash.
- Ford recalls over 500,000 trucks and SUVs, including Explorer, F-150, and Lincoln Aviator. A mechanical part meant for relaxation and comfort has the Ford Motor Company stressin’. Ford says potentially affected vehicles might be missing the “third pawl required for seat-back strength” in the reclining mechanisms on certain seats.
Motorcycle/Scooters:
- BMW of North America is recalling 5,938 model year 2019 C 400 X, model year 2018-2020 G 310 GS and model year 2017-2020 G 310 R scooters and motorcycles. The front and rear brake caliper pistons may corrode, possibly causing the piston to stick or drag in the caliper bore.
Utility/Recreational Vehicles & Automotive Accessories:
- Keystone recalls Crossroads Cruiser fifth-wheel trailers. The Morryde Rotating Pin Boxes may be attached with bolts that are too short.
- Tiffin recalls model year 2019-2020 Allegro Open Road motorhomes. A hydraulic suspension hose could make contact with the inside rear tire.
- Yamaha Recalls Golf Cars, Personal Transportation and Specialty Vehicles Due to Fire Hazard. The module that regulates power to the vehicle’s USB ports can overheat and melt, posing a fire hazard.
Food, Beverage & Nutritional Supplements:
- Southern Pacific Whole Foods Market Stores recalls Decorated Red Apple Cookies. The product may contain egg, an allergen not declared on the label.
- Hiland Dairy Announces Voluntary Recall of Hiland Dairy Half-Gallon and Pint Lemonades.
- American Beef Packers, Inc. Recalls Raw Beef Products Deemed Unfit for Human Consumption.
- Heatherfield Foods Inc. Recalls Pork Sausage Products Due to Misbranding.
- Bakkavor Foods USA recalls ready-to-eat chicken salad. The product contains pecans, an allergen not declared on the label.
- Krasnyi Oktyabr USA recalls Tainy Vostoka Assorted Dry Fruits Quince. The products contain sulfites not declared on the label.
- Krasnyi Oktyabr USA recalls Tainy Vostoka Assorted Dry Fruits Apple. The product contains sulfites not declared on the label.
- Great One Trading recalls fish cakes. The product contains egg, an allergen not declared on the label.
- Mountain Mel’s Essential Goods, LLC Recalls The Milk Lady’s Herbal Tea Blend, Peaceful Baby Herbal Tea Blend, and Diges-teas Herbal Tea Blend, Because of Possible Health Risk.
- Makzemo LLC Recalls Balquis Yemeni Spice Because of Possible Health Risk.
Infant & Children Products:
- Nature’s One Voluntarily Issues Allergy Alert for Undeclared Milk Allergen. Nature’s One is recalling PediaSmart® SOY Vanilla Beverage Mix because milk is not listed under the “contains” label statement.
- Contigo Recalls 5.7 Million Kids Water Bottles Due to Choking Hazard. The water bottle’s clear silicone spout can detach, posing a choking hazard to children.
- Pearhead Recalls Ubbi Connecting Bath Toys Due To Choking Hazard. The recalled toys can break and create a sharp point, posing laceration and choking hazards to young children.
- RH Recalls Children’s Chairs and Stools Due to Violation of Federal Lead Paint Ban. Paint on the chairs and stools contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Pet Food & Animal Products:
- Certain Aunt Jeni’s frozen raw pet foods because samples have tested positive for Listeria, which can cause life-threatening illness in humans. The food has also tested positive for Salmonella.
- Brutus & Barnaby LLC recalls all size bags of “Pig Ears Natural Treats for Dogs” because of a possible salmonella health risk.
- Altaire Pharmaceuticals recalls Dechra Veterinary ophthalmic products. Concerns have been raised about quality assurance controls in the manufacturing facility.
Technology/Electronics:
- Happy Plugs Recalls Wireless Headphones Due to Burn Hazard. The micro-USB charging cable packaged with Happy Plugs wireless headphones can cause the headphones to overheat, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
Sporting Equipment:
- BRP Recalls Snowmobiles Due to Fire Hazard. The vehicle can have a fuel leak at the fuel injector, posing a fire hazard.
- Decathlon USA Recalls Carabiners Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death. Incorrect assembly can cause the carabiner to unlock while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the user.
Household Products:
- Whirlpool Recalls Glass Cooktops with Touch Controls Due to Burn and Fire Hazards. The recalled cooktop surface elements can turn on by themselves, posing burn and fire hazards.
- Rite Aid Recalls Folding Patio Chairs Due to Fall Hazard. The chair frame can bend causing the user to fall, posing a risk of injury.
- At Home Recalls Shag Rugs Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard; Fire Hazard. The recalled large shag rugs fail to meet the federal flammability standard for carpets and rugs, posing a fire hazard. The small shag rugs fail to meet federal labeling requirements. Small rugs are not required to meet the federal flammability standard; however, they are required to be permanently labeled with the following statement: “FLAMMABLE (FAILS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE STANDARD FF 2-70): SHOULD NOT BE USED NEAR SOURCES OF IGNITION.”
- Kirkland’s Recalls Chests of Drawers Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards. The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. The dressers do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM 2057-17).
Apparel:
- RH Recalls Turkish Robes Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard. The Turkish robes fail to meet the flammability standards for clothing textiles, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers.
Miscellaneous:
- GreatCall Recalls Lively Mobile Plus Emergency Alert Device Due to Risk of Call Button Failing in an Emergency. The call button can fail when pushed by the consumer in an emergency.
