Medical Devices & Equipment:

  • Medtronic recalled certain lots of its Pipeline embolization device, Alligator retrieval device, X-Celerator hydrophilic guidewire, and UltraFlow and Marathon flow-directed micro catheters – due to the potential separation and detachment of the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating on parts of these devices. The FDA has identified this as a Class I recall, the most serious type of recall. Use of these devices may cause serious injuries or death.


  • Toyota recalled 744,000 Sienna Minivans for faulty sliding doors.
  • Ford recalled over 680,000 Ford Fusions, Mondeos, and Lincoln MKZs for seat belt pretensioners. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant.

Utility/Recreational Vehicles & Automotive Accessories:

  • Entegra recalled Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone and Insignia motorhomes – the vehicles may experience unintended deceleration or acceleration.
  • Keystone RV Company is recalling 6,252 model year 2015-2016 Keystone Carbon, Fuzion, Impact, Raptor, and Dutchmen Voltage toy hauler fifth wheels – the vehicles’ ladders may fall from the vehicle.
  • Forest River recalls model year 2017 XLR recreational trailers – the federal placard may not indicate that the vehicle has a third axle.
  • Model year 2016-2017 Dutch Star and Ventana motorhomes with steering issue recalled – the power steering hose that may be routed incorrectly.

Nutritional Supplements/Vitamins:

  • MS Bionic, Inc. recalled all lots of Megajex Natural Male Sex Enhancer Dietary Supplement because the ingredients were not listed on the label. Use of this product may pose a threat to consumers because the undeclared active ingredients may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
  • NutriVitaShop recalled DMAA weight loss product – DMAA can narrow blood vessels and arteries, which can cause a rise in blood pressure.

Food, Beverage:

  • Bakkavor Foods USA, Inc. voluntarily recalled Trader Joe’s Hummus – Mediterranean & White Bean & Basil because these products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria.
  • Calbee North America recalled Harvest Snap Black Pepper snap pea crisps – the product contains milk, an allergen not declared on the label.
  • Anderson’s Frozen Custard recalled Pumpkin Ice Cream Pies – the product may contain peanuts, an allergen not declared on the label.
  • JFC International You-Ka Fresh Ramune and You-Ka Punch Ramune – the products may contain wheat, an allergen not declared on the label.
  • Handy Seafood recalled Blue Crab Mini Crab Cakes – The product contains milk byproducts and anchovies, allergens not declared on the label.
  • Royal Seafood Baza, Inc. recalled various ready-to-eat Herring products because of possible Listeria contamination.
  • The FDA advised consumers not to eat goat cheese products manufactured by Apple Tree Goat Dairy because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Liseria.
  • Derby City Vending Issued an allergy alert for undeclared milk, egg and soy in their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The Sandwiches were distributed to Kentucky and Indiana through delivery to vending food machines.

Infant & Children Products:

  • Lexibook recalled baby bath seats/chairs – the bath seats can tip over while a baby is in it, posing a drowning hazard to babies.

Pet Food & Animal Products:

  • Intermountain Farmers Association issued recall of rabbit feed for high vitamin D content. Rabbits consuming this feed would be at risk for developing clinical hypercalcemia which can result in potential illness or death.

Sporting Equipment:

Household Productls:

  • Gree Reannounced dehumidifier recall following 450 fires and $19 million in property damage; brand names Include Frigidaire, Soleus Air, Kenmore and Others.
  • Door locksets recalled due to risk of entrapment in an emergency. Manufactured by Stanley Security Solutions Taiwan. The latches can fail and the door cannot be unlocked from the inside.
  • Technical Consumer Products recalled LED lamps due to electrical shock hazard; sold exclusively at Habitat for Humanity in California.
  • IMUSA Recalled espresso makers due to impact and burn hazards.
