The Environmental Working Group (EWG) produced a report revealing unsafe levels of glyphosate in popular cereal brands after testing 21 different types. EWG designated a specific health benchmark that is safe for children to consume and only 4 out of the 21 brands met that safety benchmark.
Meanwhile, brands like Cheerios Toasted Whole Grain Oat Cereal and Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch revealed significantly high levels of glyphosate. The main cereal producing company, General Mills, is now looking into safer methods to reduce the amount of glyphosate found in cereals.

What is Glyphosate?
Glyphosate is one of the main chemicals used in the popular herbicide known as Roundup. Roundup is a weed killer that many citizens and companies use to maintain yards.
